Encounters of Acute Proximity
Written and photographic work
MA Arts and Place, final dissertation project
Dartington, 2023

Encounters of Acute Proximity is a work addressing notions of intimacy and proximity through place. The project examines the concept of place as a junction, a confluence of input and information — not only of physical location, but also of abstract, non-local and fictitious environments. Articulating the locale of self in response to shifting, unstable experiences of landscape and inhabitance, this body of writing and illustrative photographs depicts a complex and fluctuating logic of relationship, mind and place.
